Common questions.
What is an FBA fee audit?
A check of the dimensions, weight and size tier Amazon has on record for each product against the real packaged product. Errors can push a product into a higher fee tier, so every unit is overcharged until it's corrected. How to run one
How much can an FBA fee audit save?
It depends on the catalog. On one account, West M found FBA fees charged incorrectly across multiple SKUs. Correcting them saved roughly $5,000 a month, about $60,000 a year, with no change to advertising, pricing or sales volume.
Does Amazon reimburse lost or damaged FBA inventory?
Yes, for eligible units, generally at your manufacturing cost rather than the sale price. Claim windows are short and changed in late 2024. Check the current rules in Seller Central and review inventory adjustments, returns and removals every month so claims aren't missed.
